Visual thinking for climate justice

💡The big idea:  Using visual thinking to foster collaboration and dialogue between volunteers and help them in the mission of communicating climate justice. 

I contributed as a process facilitator to a workshop developed by Action Aid-Global Platform Italia to empower climate justice activists in crafting impactful narratives. The session, part of the Festival della Partecipazione (Bologna), engaged 45 participants (activist and collaborators of Action Aid) in visual thinking techniques, enabling them to explore and visually articulate challenges, strategies, and opportunities for climate activism.
The aim of this interactive workshop was sharing tools for activists to visualize complex climate issues, and fostering creative and accessible communication strategies. With support from visual facilitators, participants collaborated to design visual responses to shared challenges, including effective advocacy and addressing misconceptions about climate action, by discussing on the effectiveness of current solutions and new approaches.
